Sam & I had the day off this past Friday so we caught breakfast at Breakfast Klub (Beyonce comes here when she is in her hometown Houston, TX!) which never fails me. While we were waiting in line, I was talking about my saltwater sandals & how much I love them (I secretly want them in every color like Alexa Chung does). They're originally made for the beach so Sam said we should go to the beach! And so we did:

Galveston is definitely not the best beachy beach, but it was the good company & spontaneity that made it so fun.

Love me some Instax

Polaroid? eh, no thanks. I'm all FujiFilm Instax 210 now (mostly b/c film is cheaper/easier to find & Sam gave it to me for Christmas). You know what would be great? If this Instax had a built in digital camera, then I could select which shots I want to print out on this cool film ... or if I had a closet busting with Instax film, then that'd work too. Anyways, I definitely recommend it if you're into instant cameras or if you're into fun.

For those days when you haven't washed your hair (they say it's better if you don't wash your hair everyday, so hey it's ok.) or you just want to do something a little different, try a fishtail braid! LC does an easy to follow how to video on it. I pull some hair out of the braid at the end to make it a bit messy, here's my shot at it:

Mobile Uploads: Flat Creek Estate

Made a trip to Austin this past weekend to see my sister who was in town for a wedding! BTW- omg, omg we ate at Odd Duck Farm to Trailer with Sam's family and it was amazing. Then we had Gourdoughs and then I was so stuffed and felt so uncomfortable that I told myself I probs would not eat it much more, but now that it's a fresh day I could totally use a whole Gourdoughs donut all to myself.

The weather was so great this past weekend and so we had to make use of it. Sam & I woke up Sat morning and drove out to Flat Creek Estate, a winery in Marble Falls. Here are some shots from our time there! Can I also please own a winery and move out to Sonoma? I am itching to go to the wine country again. Anyway, after several late nights out in Austin, I am so ready for a week of sleeping- oh but of course, it's Monday.

Camera is back in business!

It's baaaaaack from the shop!

I meant to blog about this on Friday, but this weekend has been busy (Sam's best friend came in town to stay with us) so I'm just now getting around to it! But now that I'm blogging about Friday, I'm wishing it could be here all over again.

On Friday, Sam & I went to an estate sale and flower shopping at a couple different shops. It was so fun to sift through other people's old junk to find something that was special to me. I got a vintage charm piece to go on my long necklace that I'm very happy about. At the plant shops we were basically looking for some nice looking, easy to care for, low maintenance (my favorite kind of maintenance) flowers that will last through the winter to put out on our patio (which I totally love so much!).

Also, here's my newest idea : wouldn't it be fun to open a flower shop?

A Farmer's Market Saturday

So I woke up this morning 8:17am after a fun, late night out with friends and thought 'omg, eggggggs!' and shot straight out of bed. Every time Sam and I go to the farmer's market, we always, always miss out on the best eggs. We say we will come earlier next time, and naturally we never do. Today: successful!

I also picked up some delicious figs (which I'm snacking on as I blog) and a great chocolate croissant from Angela's Oven. The day I make a chocolate croissant like Angela's, I will ... well I have no idea what I'd do.
